I’ve ALMOST Figured it Out…

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about your life's "MISSION STATEMENT" and how important it is. (Click here to read it) When I sat down to write my own mission, I was sure that with all of the ideas in my head I could figure it out in a single weekend.  But, it has taken me a LOT longer than I thought to put it together.  In fact, I am STILL not done. Transparency is a very important part of my core values. Everyone has their own struggles and areas of their life they want to make improvements.  And it's OK not to be perfect!   We are all a "Work-in-Progress."     Especially me......If you're a member of my boot camp, you'll already know this :-) It's about 90% finished, and I want to share what I have so far with you. It's very challenging to put your MISSION onto paper, but I believe that EVERY SINGLE PERSON should take the time to do this. Your Mission

Take that First Step Today…..

Do YOU Know the Answer to this Question?

Some of the WORLDS top fitness professionals were at the conference I attended (and presented at!) at in California last weekend.   I was blown away the entire weekend by spending time with such passionate, motivated, and driven people.   One of my BEST take-aways came from a guy named Rocco Castellano.  Rocco talked about how important it is to: KNOW who you are, WHAT you stand for, & what your MISSION is.   The answers to those questions are not easy- and will take time to really figure out.   But once you do figure it out, you will truly be able to move in a direction with confidence, KNOWING that it is your purpose.   Rocco explained that once you determine what your "Core Values" are, who you really are, and what your mission is, ANY decision that comes your way should be an easy one.   Simply put....It's either in line with your personal beliefs, or it's not.   It's NOT

This is Pretty Personal…

This past weekend was a BIG weekend for me. [caption id="attachment_2204" align="alignright" width="230" caption="Me during our presentation!"][/caption] Seems a little strange because I get up in front of big groups of people to teach boot camp...but in the beginning, I used to be extremely nervous before teaching every single boot camp class! But I had a decision to make: I would either have to face those fears to reach my goals, or continue to put them on the back burner and be "stuck" in my comfort zone. Fast forward 3 years later, I couldn't imagine myself doing anything else. I LOVE teaching boot camp. But it's not just teaching that I love. If I never made that step, I would never have met the truly AMAZING people that are in our classes, and we would never have been able to reach out to the hundreds of people that have been through our boot camp, helping them to reach their fitness goals

7 Ways to Lose Weight WITHOUT D-I-E-T-I-N-G!

I know that for some of you “diet” is a four letter word and a bigger buzzkill than doing your taxes. But getting healthier is also about getting happier! So today I’m sharing a few tips from an article I read called 7 Healthy Ways To Lose Weight Without ‘Dieting.’  It’s all about how you can make little everyday changes in your life and see huge differences in your body (and avoid the dreaded D-word :-)). “Filling up with a range of fruits and vegetables is an easy way to cut your calorie load, a recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests…"Follow the rainbow," Wein suggests. "Do your best to eat from all of the color groups during the day." Make your own fridge as colorful as the produce section of your supermarket. As a matter of fact, make the produce isle your very first stop in the store. Fill your cart up with fresh veggies and fruits as they come in

4 Steps to Getting Past Obstacles

Brian Tracy is pretty awesome.  If you've never heard of him, he's helped THOUSANDS of people achieve goals and outlines strategies, mindset, and other things you can use to get where you want to go. He did this pretty cool (and short) video on getting past your Obstacles and things that hold you back from living the live YOU want to live. Take a minute to answer the questions below the video on something that you think is holing YOU back. If you're STILL struggling trying to reach your ideal weight or clothes size...WHY!? 1.  Define the problem CLEARLY. What specifically is HOLDING YOU BACK from achieving your goal?   Do you hang out with people who are always going out to eat? Are you TOO TIRED to get in a good workout?  Do you get home from work late and just eat whatever is in the house?  Do you skip breakfast
