Green Smoothie….Popsicles!?!

It’s getting HOT outside!  Florida summers are experts at draining the energy right out of you.

It’s nice to be able to reach for something refreshing and cold…that’s delicious, healthy, and won’t weight you down.

The green smoothies are a staple in our 21-Day program.  Now, you can enjoy variations of them as a frozen treat….plus they are so good that even kids love them!

These recipes are easy to make, MUCH cheaper than buying popsicles or ice cream from the store, and are absolutely delicious!

#1: Green Smoothie Popsicle

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1 frozen banana, peeled
  • 1 avocado  (optional…adds creaminess)
  • a large handful of kale (or spinach)
  • water added for consistency
Directions:
Add all ingredients into blender.  Continue to blend while adding water, until “vortex” forms in the middle.  You may have to stop the blender and use a spoon to stir occasionally.  Blend for a minute or 2, until kale is chopped into very small pieces.  Pour into popsicle molds or enjoy as a smoothie.
